Happy Potential Snow Day for our Georgia-based followers! For all of you gearing up due to weather warnings, we wanted to give you a great recipe for warming up. Make sure to stop by your local grocery store and pick up these ingredients so you can have a hearty, delicious meal. You may need to get there early if you don’t want to miss out on milk and bread though…

Cook time: 1 hour

Ingredients:

  • Chicken Andouille sausage
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 3 celery stalks, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • Seasonest Spicy Blend
  • 2 cups chicken broth

  • Sauté sausage until slightly browned and add in the already cooked vegetables.
  • Add in kidney beans with the remaining juice, chicken broth and season again with Seasonest Spicy Blend. Slightly mash beans while stirring.
  • Stir well and bring to a boil.
  • Turn down and let simmer for 25 minutes.
  • While the beans simmer, prepare a pot of rice.
  • Serve over rice.

Demo at the Johns Creek, GA Whole Foods

Hi All!
IMG_0281It’s Courtney and I was at the Johns Creek Whole Foods this Sunday and really enjoyed meeting all of you who stopped by; thanks for tasting our seasonings! If you’ve ever demoed anything before, you know that sometimes it can be pretty lonely, so seeing you all made a world of difference. It also helps that you enjoyed the food we prepared so much that you got a Whole Foods employee who had just began working there to try it out after complimenting it so well; what a way to make my day. :)

It seems that out of all of our blends, the Spicy Blend was the most popular. I was pretty surprised to see all of the kids pick up the spicy chicken samples and enjoy them so much.  The parents seemed even more surprised. One parent mentioned
that their child rarely eats chicken. Apparently, the little one asked if they could have chicken with our seasoning on it for dinner!

What a great success of a IMG_0280demo day. We love you Johns Creek and can’t get enough of your awesomeness. We hope you feel the same way about our seasonings and hope to be demoing there again soon.

Happy Days,
Courtney
