Hello friends and happy Wednesday! Got the mid week blues? We can fix that! Here is a super tasty (and quick!) recipe for Crawfish Hush puppies that we think you’ll love. It’s got a touch of heat that is sure to spice up your week. We’ve included a video if you’d like to see how it’s done!
Tutorial Video for Crawfish Hushpuppies
1 cup yellow cornmeal
3/4 cup self-rising flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 tbsp Seasonest original
1/2 small onion, grated
1/4 cup chives, chopped
1/2 pound cooked crawfish, cleaned and tails removed, chopped
1 1/4 cup buttermilk
1 egg, beaten
1 medium jalapeño, chopped
Peanut oil, for frying
Preheat oil in a deep-fryer to 350 degrees F.
Mix all ingredients in a large bowl. Drop heaping tablespoon-sized amounts of the mixture into the hot oil. Fry in batches for 2 to 3 minutes each. Remove from the oil to paper towels to drain and season immediately with Seasonest Original, or Spicy for an added kick. Transfer to a serving platter or bowl and serve with a dip of your choosing.
When we made these at home, the first question was, “Is there enough to make more?” I think that’s a good sign right there! Enjoy!

The Seasonest Family
This month, our featured seasoning is the Mild Spice Blend!
Inspired by Cajun/Creole flavors, this blend is the less spicy version of our Original Spice Blend. It brings the flavors of New Orleans to your cooking without scaring family or friends away with too much heat. This blend is also a popular choice for mom’s looking to feed picky eateres and introduce them to new flavors.
We like to use the blend on tacos and fried chicken, but have put it on all sorts of recipes. Chili, soups, pastas, steaks, fish, eggs, vegetables… you’re not limited in options with this blend!
This blend is made with salt sourced from the Mediterranean and contains fresh, delicious and consistent flavor each time you order. Every Seasonest blend is made only with the best ingredients. It is also gluten-free, vegan, all-natural, and perfect for every diet, so you don’t have to worry about serving it to your family.
We hope you take some time to try this blend! If you’d like to try it out, visit this page here: Link
